TESTIMONIALS
Jessie Barr is an exceptional teacher who seamlessly connects her films with feminist and social practice, literature, and themes important to contemporary culture. Her guest lecture on erotic bonds and feminism as they relate to her feature film, “Sophie Jones,” and her explication of the “erotic as an antidote to death” was spot on and connected with the course readings from Audre Lorde and Adrienne Rich, all of which she tied together in discussion with the students. Her humanism and energy is a gift for young minds and changemakers.
